Overview
Jesus promised His disciples that He would return to earth (John 14:3). This future event, called the Second Coming or Parousia, is foundational to Christian eschatology and provides believers with hope and motivation for holy living. Christ's return will be preceded by signs and will culminate in the final judgment and the establishment of God's eternal kingdom.
