Overview
Jekameam (also spelled Jokmeam) was one of the cities designated for the Levites, specifically for the family of Kohath. Located in the mountainous region of Ephraim according to some accounts, or in Issachar's territory according to others, it served as a residential and administrative center for priests and their families.
