Overview
Hammath (also spelled Hammoth) was a fortified city known for its hot springs, located in the territory of Naphtali in northern Israel. The city appears in Joshua's account of territorial division among the tribes and later in accounts of military conflicts during the monarchy period.

"The fortified cities are Ziddim, Zer, Hammath, Rakkath, Kinnereth" (Joshua 19:35, NASB) - listing Hammath among Naphtali's inheritance.
