Overview
Goliath of Gath stood nearly ten feet tall and was heavily armored with bronze and iron weaponry, representing an impossible military threat to Israel. However, David's faith in God enabled him to defeat this giant with just a sling and stone. The biblical accounts also record other descendants of the giants whom David and his warriors encountered and overcame in subsequent battles.
