Geber

Geber was one of Solomon's twelve regional administrators responsible for provisioning the royal household. His role exemplifies the organizational structure God ordained for wise governance.

Overview

Geber son of Uri was appointed by King Solomon as one of the twelve officers who supplied provisions for the king and his household, each managing a different region of Israel for one month annually. His administrative responsibility demonstrates how God uses capable individuals in positions of authority to maintain order and stewardship within His ordained leadership structures.

Key Scriptures

"And Geber the son of Uri was in the land of Gilead, the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer who was in that land" (1 Kings 4:19, NASB).

"These officers provisioned the king and all who came to the king's table, each man during his month; they let nothing be lacking" (1 Kings 4:27, ESV).

Application

Recognize that faithful administration and diligent service in your sphere of influence, however ordinary it may seem, contributes to God's purposes and the flourishing of those you serve.
