SHI'LOH. The word "Shiloh," as used in Gen 49:10, has given rise to much discussion. Many of the best scholars consider it as referring to the town. But it is better to adopt the traditional view, and interpret "Shiloh" of the Messiah. " Cf. Isa 9:6.
