PEACE. T. T. as a common form of salutation. Ex 4:18; Mark 4:34; Luke 10:5; John 20:19, 2 Chr 11:21; Rom 1:7. In a more special sense, the word denotes a Christian grace obtained by faith in Christ, who by his death has restored us to peace with God. Rom 5:1; Eph 2:14. " Without such peace there can be no true happiness.
