Bezalel

The chief artisan and craftsman of the Tabernacle, filled with the Spirit of God to design and construct the sacred furnishings.

Bezalel son of Uri (son of Hur) from the tribe of Judah was divinely appointed by Moses as master craftsman. God filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and "all manner of workmanship" — gold, silver, bronze, stone cutting, wood carving, and embroidery. He built the Ark of the Covenant, the Tabernacle, the lampstand, the altar, and the priestly garments. Oholiab of Dan worked alongside him. His name means "in the shadow of God."
