Who Was Arodi in Scripture?
Arodi appears in the genealogical records of Scripture as one of the sons of Gad, who was himself a son of Jacob and Zilpah (Genesis 46:16). While Arodi's personal story is not elaborated upon in the biblical narrative, his inclusion in these genealogies is deeply significant. Like Arodi, most of us will live quiet, faithful lives that don't make headlines, yet our faithfulness matters eternally. Our obedience, our character, and our love for God ripple through generations we may never meet, just as Arodi's descendants carried forward his family's legacy.
As Canadian believers, we too are part of God's grand narrative. We may wonder if our quiet faithfulness in our homes, workplaces, and communities truly matters. Scripture assures us it does. God sees, remembers, and values every act done in faith and love. Like Arodi, we are invited to trust that our lives are meaningful in God's sight, and that He is writing a story through our faithfulness that will echo into eternity.
