AHIN'OAM (brother of pleasantness, i. e. pleasant). 1. The daughter of Ahimaaz, and the wife of Saul. 1 Sam 14:50. A woman of Jezreel, and one of David's wives. 1 Sam 25:43. She was taken captive by the Amalekites in the siege of Ziklag, and afterward rescued from captivity by David. 1 Sam 30:5, 1 Sam 30:18. She lived with him while he was king of Judah in Hebron, and was the mother of Amnon, his eldest son. 2 Sam 2:2; 2 Sam 3:2; 1 Chr 3:1.
