Siaha

Siaha was a servant of Solomon whose descendants returned from Babylonian exile to help rebuild Jerusalem and the temple.

Overview

Siaha is mentioned in the biblical records as one of Solomon's servants whose family line continued after the Babylonian captivity. His descendants were among those who returned to Jerusalem under the leadership of Zerubbabel to participate in the restoration of God's temple and city. Though little is known about Siaha himself, his name appears in the genealogical records documenting the faithful remnant that God preserved through exile.

Key Scriptures

"The children of Siaha, the children of Siphon, and of Padon: six hundred thirty and two." (Ezra 2:44, KJV) "The children of Siaha, the children of Siphon, and of Padon: six hundred forty and nine." (Nehemiah 7:47, KJV)

Application

Just as God preserved Siaha's descendants through exile to contribute to the temple's restoration, believers today should recognize that God preserves His people through difficulties to fulfill His purposes in building His spiritual house, the church.
