Shecaniah

Shecaniah was a Levite priest during David's reign who served in the temple worship and administration of offerings.

Shecaniah appears in the biblical record as a faithful Levite serving during the united monarchy of Israel. He held responsibility in the religious administration and temple service, representing one of many priests who maintained the sacred duties prescribed by God's law.

Application

Shecaniah's faithful stewardship of the Lord's house reminds believers today that all service rendered to God, whether prominent or behind the scenes, carries eternal significance when done unto the Lord.
