Tamah

Tamah was a family head among the temple servants (Nethinim) who returned from Babylonian exile with Zerubbabel. His descendants are listed among those who helped rebuild Jerusalem and the temple.

Overview

Tamah was the head of a family of temple servants who returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian captivity under Zerubbabel's leadership. The Nethinim were dedicated servants assigned to assist the Levites in temple duties. Tamah's family is specifically recorded as having made the journey back to the promised land to participate in the restoration of worship.
