Neziah

Neziah was a leader of the temple servants who returned to Jerusalem after the Babylonian exile. He is mentioned in the lists of those who came back to rebuild the temple.

Overview

Neziah was among the descendants of the servants of Solomon who returned from exile in Babylon to Jerusalem. As a head of a family of temple servants, he played a role in the restoration of worship and the rebuilding of God's house during the post-exilic period under Zerubbabel and later Ezra.

Application

Neziah's return from exile reminds us that God preserves a faithful remnant and calls His people back to worship and service, regardless of past failures.
