Moriah, The Land of

Moriah was the mountainous region where God commanded Abraham to offer Isaac as a sacrifice, and later where Solomon built the temple. This location became deeply significant in biblical history as a place of divine testing and worship.

The land of Moriah appears in Scripture as the site of God's pivotal test of Abraham's faith and obedience. This region, identified with Jerusalem, became the spiritual center of Israel's worship when Solomon constructed the temple there centuries later.
