Overview
Ithran appears in the genealogical records of Genesis as a descendant of Seir the Horite, one of the original inhabitants of the land that would become Canaan. The Horites were displaced by the descendants of Esau (Edomites) as recorded in Scripture. While Ithran himself is not described with any personal narrative or significance, his inclusion in the genealogy demonstrates God's attention to all peoples and nations throughout history.
