Overview
Hushim appears in Genesis as a son of Dan, Jacob's fifth son. He is mentioned in the genealogical records of Israel as part of the seventy souls who entered Egypt with Jacob during the famine (Genesis 46:23). Though little narrative detail is provided about Hushim himself, his inclusion in Scripture establishes the genealogical foundation of the tribe of Dan.
