Overview
Hesed is God's covenantal mercy and loving-kindness that endures forever and returns to us repeatedly despite our sin and failure. This divine attribute demonstrates that God's love is not based on our performance but on His character and His covenant promises. We are called to reflect this hesed love back to God and extend it generously to others.
Key Scriptures
"His mercy endureth for ever" (Psalm 136:1, KJV). "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning" (Lamentations 3:22-23, ESV). "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16, KJV).
Application
Recognize God's hesed returning to you daily through His mercies, and extend that same covenantal faithfulness and compassion to those around you.
