Herbs were among God's first provisions for mankind and creation, given for sustenance and nourishment. Scripture establishes herbs as a foundational part of God's design for human and animal diet.

Overview

From the beginning of creation, God graciously provided herbs as food for both humanity and animals. These plants were part of God's perfect design, demonstrating His care and provision for all living creatures. Herbs represent God's generosity in giving us the resources necessary for life and health.

"And God said, 'Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.'" (Genesis 1:29, ESV)
