Heleph

Heleph was a city in the tribal territory of Naphtali, mentioned as a boundary marker in Joshua's allocation of Canaan. It represents God's faithful division of the Promised Land among His people.

Overview

Heleph appears in Joshua 19:33 as one of the fortified cities within Naphtali's inheritance. Though brief in biblical mention, it symbolizes God's systematic and complete fulfillment of His covenant promise to distribute Canaan among the twelve tribes according to His divine plan.

Key Scriptures

"And their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim, and Adami-nekeb, and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; and it ended at the Jordan" (Joshua 19:33, ESV).

"So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses; and Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions by their tribes" (Joshua 11:23, NASB).
