Overview
The forest of Hareth (also called the wood of Hareth) was located in Judah and served as a hiding place for David when he fled from King Saul. After David's narrow escape from Saul at Keilah, the prophet Gad directed him to seek refuge in this forest, where God sustained and protected him during his wilderness years.
