Overview
The Second Coming of Christ is presented throughout Scripture as a physical, visible return to earth. Jesus promised His disciples He would come again, and the apostles consistently taught that Christ's return would be literal and bodily, not merely spiritual or metaphorical. This doctrine distinguishes biblical Christianity from movements that spiritualize Christ's return or deny its literal nature.
