Overview
Grapes appear throughout Scripture as a sign of God's blessing and the land's fruitfulness. They represent the bounty of God's provision and are central to harvest imagery. The grapevine also symbolizes God's people and their need to remain connected to Him for fruitfulness.
Key Scriptures
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5, NIV).
"When they reached the Valley of Eshkol, they cut off a branch bearing a single cluster of grapes. Two of them carried it on a pole between them" (Numbers 13:23, ESV)—demonstrating the land's abundance.
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father" (James 1:17, NASB)—grapes exemplify God's generosity.
