The Gospel's return refers to Christ's promise to come again and consummate His kingdom, bringing final judgment and redemption to all who believe. This foundational Christian hope motivates holy living and faithful witness today.

Overview

Jesus promised His disciples that He would return to earth to complete God's redemptive plan. This Second Coming will be visible, bodily, and final, resulting in the resurrection of the dead, the judgment of all people, and the establishment of His eternal kingdom.

Key Scriptures

"Jesus said to them, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" (John 14:6, ESV). "For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first" (1 Thessalonians 4:16, ESV). "'Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him'" (Revelation 1:7, ESV).

Application

Since Christ will return to judge all people, believers should live in holiness, share the Gospel urgently with the lost, and fix their hope on His promised return.
