Giants

Scripture indicates giants existed in Old Testament times and will not return in the New Testament era, as Christ's redemptive work has decisively broken Satan's power. Believers are assured that no supernatural threat can overcome those who trust in God's protection.

Overview

The Bible records giants in Old Testament history, including Goliath and the Nephilim, but provides no biblical basis for giants returning in the end times. Christ's victory over sin and death (Colossians 2:15) means believers face no unconquerable spiritual or physical threats.

Key Scriptures

"When the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him, for he was but a youth, ruddy and handsome in appearance. And the Lord said to David, 'Go, for I will surely give the Philistines into your hand.'" (1 Samuel 17:42, 37 ESV)

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12 NIV)

"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." (1 John 4:4 NIV)

Application

Trust God's sovereignty over all creation; no physical or spiritual opposition can overcome believers who stand firm in Christ's victory.
