Overview
Eltolad (also called Tolad) was a town located in the Negev, the southern desert region of Canaan. It appears in the biblical record as part of the territorial divisions made after Israel's conquest of the land, specifically within the inheritance given to the tribe of Simeon, which was allotted cities within Judah's territory.
