Who Was Chenaniah?
Chenaniah appears in the biblical record as a trusted Levite during the reign of King David, mentioned specifically in 1 Chronicles 15:22 and 1 Chronicles 26:29. He held an important position among the musicians of Israel and is described as the leader or chief of the singers. The name Chenaniah means "Yah has established," reflecting the biblical practice of naming children in faith, believing that God would establish His purposes through their lives.
