MATTITHI'AH (gift of Jehovah). A Korahite Levite presiding over the offerings made in the pans. 1 Chr 9:31. A Levite appointed by David to play the harp. 1 Chr 15:18,1 Chr 15:21; 1 Chr 16:5; comp. 1 Chr 25:3, 1 Chr 25:21. One who had married a foreign wife in the time of Ezra. Ezr 10:43. A priest who stood at the right hand of Ezra when he read the Law to the people. Neh 8:4.
